july 4th

July 4, 2010 felt like a pretty long day. Sunday started out with some sleeping in (9:30) then some English Church. The staff all gathered at the office for some worship music lead by our fearless leader Dwayne (my camp director) followed by a sermon from the Internet. Today’s sermon talked about division in the church and how Jesus prayed specifically for His followers to be united and un-dividable.

The majority of the day was spent in the office browsing ideas for my adventure class online, I think Wednesday I am going to make silly putty with the kids, because I am pretty sure that they have never seen it before and will love it. Monday we are making crafts that are powered by balloons and have to fly along a string, the winner is the group that has the farthest flying craft, we will see how that goes.

To celebrate the fourth of July, we went to Blair’s apartment for some hot dogs, apply pie and some peach pie!!! The power went out right when we started lightings some fire works, which was awesome because there was lightning going off with the fireworks and the city was pitch black. You could tell where the other US tourists were because you could see a few other spots with fire works going off. I played in the street with the kids that lived on the block running up and down, screaming and howling like dogs, it was great fun.

Starting back right, Obed, Tiersa, Emma, Emily, Rachel, Chad, Amner
This is the intern group that God has given us.
