July 6th 2010 second day of camp down and under our belts!! Camp is going very smooth and better then any of us could have possibly hoped for!

This is the spot where snack is had. Each of the kids finds a seat, gets their food and then has to wait for the prayer to start eating!

Today we had Carrots and Cucumbers with a glass of water.







This is the youth that we are working with. (hired high school students)
starting from the left Samuel, Louis, Erlin, Gabby, Genesis, Anna, Alejandra, and Christopher. Each of the Mentorns (intern/mentor) is paried up with one of the youth to have as a sidekick! mine is Louis!












During English class the kids went on a scavenger hunt for different animals hidden around the schoolyard, when they found an animal they got to act out what the animal was like. here they are being Kangaroos and then playing leap frog!



























Some of the trees on the property were covered in these worms!! there were hundreds of worms everywhere. Worms of course lead to entertainment and i ended up with a handful of worms. lucky i was able to talk them out of putting as many worms on me as they could.
























Closing program is how we finish out the camp day, usually a game, chant and letting the kids know they are awesome. some pray and send them off!
